For those who didn't know, when Eddie was discharged from the NICU, we were given a prescription for phenobarbitol, an anti-seizure medication. It's been 9 long weeks of giving him that medicine every day, and him absolutely hating it. Sadly, I'm accustomed to watching him choke because he gagged on the medicine so often. But we've been weaning him off the medicine for the last five weeks, and I'm very excited to say that I gave him what should be his last dose ever this morning!
Tonight we shall celebrate with wine, since I was afraid to have even a drop of alcohol while he was on the phenobarb.
HOORAY!
Now to decide what to do with the medicine left in the bottle--save it, "just in case" or pour it down the sink while laughing maniacally.
